Husmoderns Bröst - Där Fruarna Bor (LP)

Sweden during the 1970's saw a boom of "progg" groups: left wing politicals forming bands to voice their opinions. Sometimes it would come close to the progressive scene of the UK or the psychedelic scene of the US, but it was more of a DIY folk movement.
Husmoderns Bröst was an all female group with songs addressing feminist issues of their times. The name of the band translates to The Housewife's Breast and the title of the album "Where The Wives Live". The stand-out track is a word-play of the similarities of the Swedish word for kitchen sink and disco. It's a raw jazz-funk disco banger that ends in a hand clap outro and the band chanting "do the funky housewife!".
