Rezső Soltész – Kodex Corvina (LP)
The year is 1980, and the influence of of American culture in Czechoslovakia is hitting a peak. Soltész is star-struck by the TV-series Kojak starring the bald-headed detective played by Telly Savalas, and records a tribute song to his hero titled "Kojak The Superstar". It's a jazzy disco track with a long, build-up intro complete with synthesizers emulating police sirens. After several breaks and solos, Soltész comes in to sing about his hero and it sounds like the best theme song ever to a cheap knockoff b-movie.
